Kool & The Gang -- Misled (The 2ND Best Music Video Of All Times....right after Thriller!) Yay OR Nay? http://www.youtube.com/wa...8PEzzY_KrQ
I vote yay! For Kool & The Gang, THIS video (along with Tonight & Fresh) is without question their best ever.

Is this a Kool & The Gang video or a JT video?
The band doesn't appear until 5 minutes into a 5:45 clip! Sorry Tony, thumbs down for me. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

I wonder if Michael was giving JT some good/bad advice around this time!

It's one of their better videos (which ain't saying much) but it's not second behind "Thriller". I also like their "Tonight" video.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

JT sends Michael a shout-out by his own dance routine in that video. I also like Joanna & Fresh.

This thread is too funny!
I remember when this video first came out. I think I even bought the 7". Yay or nay depends on what kind of mood I'm in. If I'm looking for some high quality 80s cheese, then this gets a yay. If I'm looking for some plain high quality then it gets a nay.

not even close to 2nd best, imo. man, what was that? looked like a cross between a cheap version of "thriller" (michael called, he wants his red pants back ) and indiana jones.

As if I no reason to respect a lot of the 1980s Kool & The Gang stuff. I forgot about the video to "Misled," which was actually an above-average song. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

Recently bumped into hearing this jam on a web-station . Major slamming and from hearing the lead-vox it seemed that Skip Martin from the Dazz Band already had joined them in 1989 . [Edited 9/19/06 13:14pm]

Has the production of videos stopped in the early 80's ?! ... the question is TOO subjective IMO . What about this one : http://youtube.com/watch?v=ygBREZSZJ70 ( Still an early 80's clip , but with MTV , there has been made much prgress in the art of musicvidz ) MISLED review : Imagewise - Partly inspired by the Idiana Jones trilogy but the build-up story is not as thrilling as ... ( fill in the blanx ) - The choreography in Misled is a WORLWIDE difference from Thriller . MJ's and the group's moves and are much more tighter . Musicwise - JT's vocals are good but they don't sound ( imo ) with the eager drive that MJ has in Thriller . - There are some solid synths in there with a popping bass here and there , but not as driving like stated above . . . .
