I've finally heard the new album from queen of pop Latoya Jackson.
Why can't her less successful sister, Janet take a page out of queen Latoya's book.

Just Wanna Dance is fucking amazing. It's gayer than any Kylie tune and very hypnotizing. Latoya speaks of shaking her sexy ass and other women being jealous of her because they wanna be her. That's the fucking truth.

There's an interlude called Anger Management where Latoya asks what song they're doing next. Then they let off all these heavy guitars and Latoya gets annoyed. "Guys, i don't think we can do this song, it's a little bit too much rock."

Latoya Jackson is the most honest Jackson as i've stated. In this album she confronts the fact that she comes off as a shemale. Yes you've read it. She also confronts her bisexuality asking whether she wants to get it on with a man or a woman tonight. That is the honesty that MJ needs in his work. Janet Jackson tried to aproach these themes in the Velvet Rope but she sugar coated the situation. We all know Janet has slept with other women, why can't she just say it.

Latoya is always one step ahead, yet people try to make it like she's the most untalented Jackson. I can actually hear her singing on her new album unlike Janet's whispering.

If you're not kidding, I would post this on a few of Janet's forums, but I'm afraid that it would just bring her fans down.

I don't want to get off-topic, but I just read a criticism on MSN, slamming Janet for her nakedness in her new video. I'm bummed.

I have such mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I understand the criticism.. it was something about Janet flashing her breasts--AGAIN if viewers couldn't get enough of it during the Super Bowl performance. I knew that was going to happen. I knew it.

But then again, if Janet wants to flash her breasts, well more power to her. Why should she conform to some societal standard or expectation? Sure... from a PR and maybe even an artistic point-of-view Janet should have stayed clear from the sex and anything resembling Damita Jo or the Super Bowl malfunction. But then again, hey it's what Janet wants to do. I would think people are advising her, right? Don't ya'll think? If it's obvious to someone like me, having no knowledge of the music business that Janet probably needed to go in a completely different direction as far as sex thing if not the music (this cd appears to be a little more urban than pop?) well one would think that someone in her circle would have at least mentioned that. So ultimately, this next cd is a representation of Janet artistically. This was her choice. I'll buy it. I'm sure it will be nice. But thus far, it's not anything challenging except that she appears to be even more urban/r&b than she has in the past.

Then another thing that happened: I found Confessions on the Dance Floor in my car, so I decided listen to it again. I liked it again. I liked the lyrics, the concept, the layering of the it musically. It's like I'm entering an alternate universe because I've never been a Madonna fan. But yeah, I can see why people really like this cd, and I can see where Janet's is somewhat weak lyrically and even musically. In a way it's sad for me because I want Janet to evolve, too.

WEll, if what you are saying is true about LaToya's, good for her. I just don't understand why Janet can't "see" her own weaknesses except that maybe she doesn't consider she has any weaknesses. I wonder if she surrounds herself with "yes" people, too, similar to the way Michael has done in the past? But then again, it's apparently want she wants to do.

Yeah... there's is definitely a lot of denial going-on.
