Really? I've never been able to do this with any of the programs I use. Which one do you recommend?

NERO is the one I use and it's very user friendly. There's all sorts of remastering stuff you can do on it. And editing. Love it.

Cool! Thank you!!! My dad has Nero, and is gonna hook me up!

nod Especially considering that Tori herself doesn't care for it. She nixed the single release when she heard the final mix!

I don't see what's wrong with it. hmph! I like it! biggrin

Oh, I like it too, even though it's a rather oddball track in her discography.

i have yet to have enough free time to enjoy this set the way i'd hoped. i wanted to just totally submerge myself in it and spend a day listening. instead i've had to suffice with 20 minutes here, 30 minutes there, and 10 minutes each way on the bus. even with the broken up exposure, the set is just amazing.

the alternate version of iieee is incredible! the subtle differences on material as recent as a sorta fairytale are way cool (is that crickets chirping in there or some instrument i can't quite place?). the "new" tracks...especially not david bowie and zero point...have me desperate to see what direction she's looking into for the new cd. i mean, there has to be a reason she put these songs on here and the most obvious one is that she's been working with this sort of sound and thought those tracks deserved a revisiting to.

the remixed, remastered, and retracked little earthquakes disc is fulfilling. i understand why she left tracks off the original and i appreciate the songs as bsides even more now, knowing she could have just saved them for another cd.

i'm sure more subtleties will expose themselves the more i listen to this set but i'm already totally satisfied with this set. it's official: tori amos releases the best compilations!

I've been off the board for a while now with all my Halloween festivities, so I figured it was time to give this bump!

The wife basically told me not to buy this. She's obviously got it as a Christmas present for me! Now, if I can only convince her to give it to me early....

I read that and thought you were going to say because it's not worth it. razz

Cool, that you're going to get it soon.

With all the boxsets I've bought in the last few months (Tori, Björk, Gothic Box) I am now broke and am officially done with music purchases for the year. I made my last big splurge yesterday (Aterciopelados, Nellie McKay and White Rose Movement and my Joan As Policewoman CD is in the mail) so any other albums will have to wait until 2007. neutral

Yeah, it's cool...except that it just isn't soon enough!!!

How is the Gothic box? That's another one I really want. I have quite a bit of the music on it already, but there are some really fantastic gems on there that I would like to own.

That collaboration with BT was actually released as a single on its own. There were loads of remixes too.

Honestly, I've only watched the DVD. Like you, I already have most of the music on there so the whole thing isn't at the top of my album must-listen list. The booklet is really cool though. There are lots of photos and even goth dancing tips!

the subtle changes to the alternative versions are great, though. you should definitely put those on your priority list. lol

lol Goth dancing tips?! Oh wow! I hung out in Goth clubs in my youth, so I find this notion rather amusing!

No, no, no, I sure as hell played that Tori boxset! Jedimaster asked me about the Gothic Box of which I've only seen the accompanying DVD. Conversely, the DVD in the Tori box I haven't watched yet.
