Favorite NIN album

I still only own the DualDisc edition of The Downward Spiral by these guys (or this guy, I should say). It is ugly, filthy, brilliant, and beautiful. worship

I also still have Pretty Hate Machine, Broken, and The Fragile on my wish-list, however. It got me to thinking... what is your favorite NIN album here at the org?

"the fragile" is amazing, but really only when listened to as a whole. i'd say go with "pretty hate machine" next. it sounds somewhat dated now (what i wouldn't give for a remaster!), but its still an awesome album. save the remix albums (further down the spiral/fixed/things falling apart) for last; learn to love the originals first.

"with teeth" and "phm" are interesting. pretty much two complete emotional opposites. its pretty much like what happens after someone breaks up with you- you start off sad- then you want to break their fucking face. fitting that they're the first and last albums.

for my money, i less than three me some "fragile", but as time goes on, "with teeth" is seriously growing on me. dave grohl's drums pretty much make that album.
now i know what this is all about. now i know exactly what i am.

My favorites are The Downward Spiral and Broken. Both these albums are pretty groundbreaking during the whole 90s alterno era.

Pretty Hate Machine is kinda dated but still a very good album nonetheless. If you like old school industrial music or even just some good ol' synth-pop, this album is for you. If not, you still might appreciate it.

Im sorry, but I cant say that The Fragile is my favorite album from Nine Inch Nails. It's good, but FUCK is it depressing. I'll give it some brownie points for production though. Other than that, I hardly hear it unless Im in a really sad mood.

As for With Teeth, I liked it. It did get some getting used to though, since I hadnt heard a Nine Inch Nails album this mainstream sounding. I'd say its kinda in the middle. Not a bad album at all, but it's not Excellent.

I like The Fragile the most. It's just so hauntingly beautiful.

Broken. That album was the shit when it came out. I think I like it better than The Downward Spiral because it's shorter and more concise. Pretty Hate Machine would be a close second.

I liked 'Pretty Hate Machine' when it first came out, but Trent has changed so much since then. It's like listening to Prince's 'For You'.

Favorite NIN album would be 'The Downward Spiral' (the dualdisc is amazing).

lots of respect for Trent Reznor. I would have to go with Downward Spiral.

favorite is "Piggy" - love how the instruments sound on that one.

The Fragile is probably my favorite. It's just amazing. The Big Come Down is spectacular.
