will artists and labels who embrace the internet benefit more in the future than those who lag behind? i can't remember the last 5 songs that hit #1 on the billboard 100 and album sales usually involve a high debut and then a big drop.

what do you think?

Well its tough to say, i think i remember way back in the later 80's when Eddie Murphy used to be funny, he said "To get someone to come out of their house and see your movie or buy your work is an honor", i repsect the Digital age, i own an ipod and love it, but i dont download from itunes (unless its a rare occasion and theres a bonus track or something exclusive from an artist i respect), i still hit the record stores and then just put the cds on the ipod (if they are good enough). I do miss the days when you looked at a chart and watched your favorite song/album move up each week, now i really dont care, because its all about week 1-2.
