I think he has a new album coming out soon, he was FANTASTIC tonight opening for John Legend (@ the Independent in SF) - check him out if you can!

He did an acoustic set tonight, opened w/ "Old Friends For Sale" - I was like

The whole set was great - his voice is just so damn buttery, I wanna spread it on myself

He'll be @ a little club in Oakland called Maxwell's on Sept. 29 (a Friday night, I'm pissed that I can't make it - see my concerts during the week thread ) so DO check this dude out if you're in the Bay!


For the New Yorkers he'll be @ Joe's Pub on Oct. 13.

Nice. Martin is OFF the chain. Funny that he has MORE talent than Legend and has been around longer yet he is the opening act. I understand why.....but I DON'T like it. Either way.....love this cat.

I've never thought of him that way, I don't think the majority of his stuff is like that. Granted I have yet to get into the first album but it's not typical of Rebel Soul Music at all. Don't count him out, he's so worth it
