Well I know on certain days, for certain hours they have different themes. Like "Soul Live", "Soul Old School" and "Soul Tropical" (for the raggae/island music) or something like that.

I watch this channel on the regular and I know now and then they do sneak in a hip hop video, but not in a string, there's another cable channel that plays nothing but rap videos all day long but I forgot the name of it...

But that is strange what you are saying though...
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

MTV Jams plays rap all day. I usually watch BET J's Soul Sessions. They usually keep the hip hop out and show obscure old videos.

VH-1 has done a 360 since the 90s. In the 90s it was MTV's older, more sophisticated relative. Now, its the pop culture network.

It probably happened at the same time when it was decided that everything performed by a person with a darker skin than Tori Amos had to contain at least 80 % hip hop influence in order to get any radio or TV airplay.

Yeah that's is true about VH1 it has turend into E!. But we're talking about the digital channel VH1 Soul that used to focus on R&B videos all day.

And what's up with VH1 Soul having commercials now?

i think you mean a 180...a 360 would mean a full circle, returning to wherever it started.
