I don't think he's ever gotten the respect he deserves from the industry. Even his auto biography that was made into film was done on the television level, not the big screen as Ray Charles had or Johnny Cash. Leroy (the actor who portrayed Little Richard) did a horrible job, it was miscast and was a lackluster production.
So rock on Little Richard... say your mess to the duets, who cares if it makes sense or not, I love hearing you say "Wooooo!" it was LEON....I think leroy was on FAME... My bad... I stand corrected. |

Too funny. Little Richard alone is worth watching when it comes to Celebrity Duets. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

That scene of him delierving a sermon, was that about himself? If he is gay it would be sad that thought of himself that way. He's a great character, first time I saw him on a documentary about early rock n' roll doing wOoOoOoO's in the middle of his sentences for no apparent reason and talking himself up. What is his musical history like? It seems like he only had a couple of years of relevant output and has been trying to re-create it or just re-living it ever since.

I love Little Richard, even if he is touched. I met him 15 years ago at the AMA's in LA. He wasn't participating in the show, but rather he had stationed himself in the front lobby and was handing out bibles. I could only shake my head and laugh. He has become quite a character. And yes, the similarities between he and the midget are there. Prince will set up in Vegas soon and the cycle will probably repeat itself. At least they're never boring.

You know things are still sort of alright with the world if Prince and Richard are still out there behaving strangely. If either of them ever normals up, run -the end is near. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I remember watching the show "Party Machine" in the early 1990s and he was on there talking to the host, Nia Peebles, about his children's album that was coming out at the time. At the end of the show when all the guests were saying goodbye to the audience, he was all up in some guy's face, close enough to kiss, and was actually flirting with him.
