Jimmy Fallon's purple video

I just caught the tail end of MTV's "Making The Video" and they premiered the new video for Jimmy Fallon's (yes - the comedian) new song "Idiot Boyfriend"...he imagines himself doing scenes in various old videos...

...it has a "smooth disco" sound and (shockingly) Jimmy croons with a falsetto that reminds me of Prince.

No sooner had that thought crossed my mind when I see him in Prince-ly gard, doing the "bathtub crawl" scene from "When Doves Cry".

Pretty funny. Take a look at a still of Jimmy's getup (you have to flip forward to image 3/31);

Yeah, it's pretty funny. He also parodies early MJ recreating the "I wanna rock with you" video (I think that's the one).
My question is with him doing all these parodies of 80's videos, will the TRL audience even get it?

Thanks for the link PurpleJedi. I loved seeing the Prince outfit but would have loved seeing him do the "bathtub crawl" (great description, BTW). IMO, Jimmy Fallon is the funniest guy on SNL!

I usually like him, but this song is pretty stupid. The whole video is a rip off of "Meet The Parents" with Ben Stiller and the song is a ripoff of the last Beck album, which was a Prince rip.

I personally don't think Jimmy Fallon's very funny. He like, thinks he's that other dude...forget his name, trying to act all cute. He comes across fakey and pretentious.

I actually find myselft tuning off Saturday Night Live just to avoid his bad comedy and wanna be "cute hip comedian" act with the messy hair. Please. rolleyes

Mad TV's better these days.

evil I posted the same topic a few days ago, and only one person responded! Where were you guys when I needed ya? evil

Okay, I'm over it. smile I think the video is kind of funny, esp. if you listen to the lyrics - he's the typical jackass, moocher boyfriend.

All in all, I think Mr. Fallon is very hot, and talented as well, but something about his personality throws me off. Can't exactly put my finger on it, whatever it is.
I mean, like, where is the sun?
