Maybe in the eighties with tracks like "Gambler" and "Into The Groove" but I always assumed most of her recent soundtrack songs were written specfically for the movie, usually as prep for a new album. Think about it. "This Used To..." came right before "Erotica" "I'll Remember" right before "Bedtime Stories" ("Beautiful Stranger", I'll give you, was possibly a "Ray Of Light" outake) "American Pie" and "TIme Stood Still" right before "Music" "Die Another Day" before "American Life" The only song that kind of came before "Confessions", that I can think of, was the demo of "I Love New York", obiviously recorded for the album and not the documentary "I'm Going To Tell You A Secret" | |
