Britney Spears' Dad Confirms New Baby

LOS ANGELES (Sept. 12) - Britney Spears has given birth to her second child, her dad tells Access Hollywood.

"Thank you, we appreciate your concern. Everything is great," Jamie Spears told Ron Silverstein, the show's executive producer.

Spears reportedly gave birth to a 6-pound, 11-ounce baby boy just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

A source close to the family confirmed the birth to MTV News, but the gender of the child has not been officially announced.

This is the second child for Spears. She and her husband, Kevin Federline, welcomed their first child, Sean Preston, on Sept. 14, 2005.

Federline has two other children with a former girlfriend, actress Shar Jackson.

Spears may not be pleased that Us Weekly was the first to publish reports of her second baby's birth. On Feb. 28, 2005, she expressed her anger about photos from her honeymoon that appeared in the magazine. Spears claimed the photos were taken only for her private use.

Then on March 30, 2005, in a note on her official Web site, Spears hit out at what she called "false tabloids" that were speculating that the pop star was three months pregnant.

"Do you, Us Weekly, In Touch, Star and other desperate magazines want employees who are honest or those who are liars?" she wrote. "It seems to me that you'd prefer the latter." Spears added a postscript that People magazine was "okay in my book."

Sean Preston Federline was born six months later.

Spears' most recent battle with Us Weekly came on Dec. 19, 2005, when she filed a complaint against the magazine for printing a story saying that she and her husband had filmed a sex tape.

it's not such a bad thing really...her first little baby is so adorable looking...just happy she has enough money to help herself & those children out, because 2 kids back to back in your 20's is not cute...and that man of hers how the hell could she not see in him what i'm willing to bet every other woman on the planet could see in his leechy deadbeat ass from 50 miley away???

Thank God its going to be winter soon and all K Fed has to do is hide her shoes!
