Oh my Gosh! When my fiance and I broke up, Bonnie Raitt's version came on the radio, and I had to pull the car over! bawl

I try to avoid slow songs when I'm heartbroken. My music usually gets loud and angry (lots of guitar), alternating with selected Depeche Mode and early Tears for Fears. Their lyrics tend to get the whole "pain" thing. headlp

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

-Cher, "Woman's World"

"Shockadelica" is another Prince song in that vein.

Icicle

Thank you for this thread hug

That`s all i want from you

Our little love slowly grows and grows
Not one that comes and goes
Thats all I want from you
A sunny day with hopes up to the sky
Another day that comes and dies
Thats all I want from you

Dont let me down, oh show me that you care
Remember when you give, you always get your share
Dont let me down, I have no time to wait
Tomorrow might not come, when dreamers dream too late

Our little love slowly grows and grows
Not one that comes and goes
Thats all I want from you
A sunny day with hopes up to the sky
Another day that comes and dies
Thats all I want from you

Dont let me down, oh show me that you care
Remember when you give, you always get your share
Dont let me down, I have no time to wait
Tomorrow might not come, when dreamers dream too late
