Why the hell did The View cast her to perform on the 5th anniversary of 9/11?

So, I totally vowed to give up watching The View after Meredith left but I must admit that the first week with Rosie has been a fun train wreak so I started watching it again...And then todays show happened.

First off, the chemistry between the four ladies finally clicked. They each shared their memories of 9/11 in touching and sincere fashions...They then went to a commercial break showing Rosie's art work depecting various images from 9/11...almost had me in tears.

One of the most touching moments of their morning chat was with Rosie remembering how haunting and chilling it was to hear sirens around New York the first few weeks after 9/11.

and then Beyonce came out. eek

She performed her usual hoochie dance with fifty backup dancers doing their best Janet knock off...

with a FREAKEN SIREN playing during the entire song. WTF? all I could think about was how tacky this sh*t was...why didnt the producers of the show realize this might not be the best day to have Janet...ooops Beyonce on the show...

and whats up with Beyonce winning 9 Grammy awards? Teena Marie has zero and this weave wearing horse warbling b*tch has 9?

damn, i think im need to stop watching this show again.

lol

i created this thread to be funny and some of y'all are acting like your beyonce's cousin and taking the shit all personal.

man.

lol

It's the same with Michael Jackson, Paris Hilton, Mariah Carey, Oprah or any other celebrity threads. If you don't like a particular celebrity, or goof on their silly behavior, some here take it as a personal offence. I don't care what any one thinks, if I think a celebrity deserves it, I'll bury him/her as much as I want. It's an internet message board, so take it easy folks. Damn.

I'm sure most people know the difference between someone goofing on an artist and someone just saying some nonsense...Yeah, the web is on some Wild West shit, but folks should not be able to make just any uninformed and suspect statement...BTW...I'm far from being in the Beyonce fan club, so I'm not taking offense to anything that's said about her music, relationships, hairdo or whatever (Myself and others don't fit into that box...)...But I do take offense to statements that are telling at best...

Any show that asks that bitch to come on at any time and perform "music" is inapropriate.

I agree...I wasnt raised in the greatest neighborhood in Philly but I do not consider myself ghetto trash nor do I consider the way I speak "unintelligent"~and as of right now I live in the suburbs and I still get offended when someone is labeled something like that. And even if I spent my whole life in the suburbs its still offensive...I wanna know exactly how the way Beyonce speaks comes off as "unintelligent"...

confused I don't think that's right. Just because she has poor diction or doesn't speak perfect english, doesn't mean she isn't bright. It just means she doesn't "sound" smart. She'd probably have to have some kind of academic discussion for u to see whether or not she is dumb (don't see that ever happening tho. It'd just be weird). Bad first impression for u I guess. I know there have been plenty of cases where I heard someone speak and I thought they were idiots, when in fact they were very wise individuals.

Yes Beyonce is country as hell, but she doesn't sound dumb to me.

Ok..I do feel what you're saying. REALLY I DO! I don't think that the way a person speaks has anything to do with true intelligence but I don't thinks SASHA is the smartest cookie in the cookie jar or I should I say, I don't think she's a deep thinker per se. I don't think she's dumb but I wouldn't expect a deep conversation on world politics. The chyle donated JEANS....shake lawd...lol

True. Very true. I was just saying that she's not a dumb person and that there is nothing that would suggest such a thing. I'd say she has average intelligence, like most ppl in the world. Beyonce is IMO, not one of the "very wise individuals" I was talking about. Maybe wise in some ways, but all around? nah. But you got what I was saying.

Beyonce talks perfectly fine and America loves her. That's probably why they let her perform her new hit song.

LadyQ

I like Bouncy though, but I'm so through with the hoochie crap, there are many ways to be sexy.

She does sound country, but it isn't really annoying. The only time Bouncy really annoyed the hell out of me was in Austin Powers Goldfinger - I almost enticed my kids to watch Grafitti Bridge just so I didn't have to listen to her.

I don't get it, but what is it about Austin Powers that kids love so much? They don't even understand most of what he says. I was at a carnival and an Austin Powers look-a-like walked by and all you heard were these little kids screaming "It's Austin Powers!!!!" Okay, I got off the subject.
