missing Aaliyah I must say, I've listened to Nelly Furtado's disc. and now Justin's. Timbaland has rediscovered his passion for music. But I can't help to think that if Aaliyah was still around, she would have topped both discs. Hearing her voice against his beats...awwwww heaven

Well Aaliyah in my opinion made one of the greatest "modern" Rb records this decade with her final album "Aaliyah", this cd had very limited involvement from timbaland though it did have some, Aaliyah was embracing a more edgier,Live RB sound, Unlike what Timbaland has done and is doing now. I dont think Aaliyah what have done anything that sounded close to Justin and Nellys records, i feel she was far past that. I think Aaliyah would have continued to have hits with Timbaland but I think she would have experimented and tried new sounds with other producers. She wanted to work with Trent Reznor and I would love to hear what would have become of such a collabo. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yeah you're right. Though Resolution was close to that sound. But if she had experimented, she would have trumped all of these releases [Edited 9/11/06 19:30pm]

![]() You are absolutely right about her self-titled 2001 record. I mean, to me she was at the peak of her career when she did that album and it still sounds pretty different than any pop-urban album released in this decade. It was a sign of things to come, but unfortunately she was another one of those beautiful angels that just died too early. If she was still here, I think she would've definitely changed this game around! [Edited 9/11/06 19:32pm] Check me out and add me on:

One word-Class. When I look at these non singing fools shaking their body to a rhythm only they can hear, I miss her even more. since Run & Them were saying "Here we go"

I still don't understand why some people think she's "overrated" to this day. Risky/edgy music, talent, soul, class, sheer beauty on the outside AND the inside... this chick had it all.
