THE DEATH OF THE FUTURE OF ROCK AND ROLL

.

Growing up in the farmland regions of Ohio, my one and only chance of salvation was a small radio station out of Oxford, OH next to Miami University.

An independent radio station that played what was dubbed "modern rock". In the almost 25 years of broadcasting I learned bout real music, from real artist, that wanted to, maybe not change the world but atleast, give it a more colorful hue.

The station was sold a couple of years ago but the name and the trademark and music along with a couple of hopeful start up employees went on the internet offering modern rock to the world.

To make a long story short one of the most influencial station's is going silent September the 15th.

BAM THE FUTURE OF ROCK AND ROLL.

I know most people on here have never listen to or heard of woxy, but at its height it was introducing to the public such artist that are now almost common place for the alternative/modern scene.
