Best 12" artist?

I happened 2 think that Prince has released the best 12inch extended remixes during his career of any artist. Second place would be Mint Condition or may P-funk. Who do u guys think has released some really good 12"s? Janet Jackson has had some pretty good remixes but her were a bit more generic sounding....

if prince had a 12" penis he'd look like a sideways capital T whenever he got aroused.

i like stuff that pet shop boys have done for other artists a LOT. nod

i like basement jaxx's remixes (both their own remixes and stuff other people have done of their work) and i like beck's remixes (same deal).

i'm VERY hot and cold about bjork's 12" stuff...some of it is insanely annoying and some of it is sublime.

i wish i liked aphex twin's remix work, because it's very interesting but it makes me angry. lol

i like the ambient stuff. i used to go to sleep to it all the time. it was like taking acid before bed. very tranquil for me.

not thrilled with the earlier stuff. the 'debut' remixes especially. i like the 'telegram' remix cd a whole lot, though some of the single mixes from 'post' i didn't like. i really liked everything i heard from 'vespertine'. i guess her 12" stuff evolves as she does. i don't think i've heard any 12" mixes from medulla, and i'll just assume there aren't any to be had from The Matthew Barney Xperience.

Pellwormer

I would say: Everything produced on the ZTT label back in the 80ies.
Trevor Horns 12" of Frankie goes to Hollywood, Art of Noise (see 'ànd what have you done to my body, god?'), Propaganda, Andrew Poppy, Grace Jones etc.

Very cool stuff

Are artists with the best 12" mixes overcompensating for something else?
