"One Night in Bangkok" was a kickass song

Heard this on the radio today. God, I loved that song! Murray Head sounds so pissy in the song and I just always thought it was equally funny and cool. Any other fans of this classic gem?

One of the few songs from the world of Italo Disco to become a hit in America. The synth programming is classic!

I heard somewhere that Murray Head is the brother of actor Anthony Stewart Head. Anyone know if there's any truth to that?

Yup! Murray is his older brother.
I was a big fan of One Night in Bangkok 'back in the days', but I haven't heard it in a while now. Btw. I dig Anthony's (Giles's biggrin )
rendition of Behind Blue Eyes - he's got a good singing voice.

Anthony's got a lovely voice. Some of my fave Buffy moments were when Giles would sing. nod

The video was on mtv all of the time when the song was out
and that's how I ended up buying the 45 of it back-in-the-day.
I always liked the song. It is funy how his delivery seems
"pissy" giggle
It comes on at work sometimes when the 80's disc is
on and I always feel like I am the only one who knows

Ya'll know this song is actually from the Andrew Lloyd Webber production 'Chess'?

Listen to the words about Chess games, pieces, queens etc and it makes sense. The play didnt last too long but this song was a hit! The other famous song from Chess is the ballad 'I Know Him So Well'

Are you sure it was Andrew LLoyd Webber? I'm looking at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/w...musical%29

It doesn't mention ALW...
