Any Sarah Slean fans out there? God, Day One is a great (and very overlooked) album. Why isn't she getting the attention she deserves? Because she's Canadian?
Wake Up is a beautiful track. And songs like Pilgrim, California and Lucky Me are better than anything I've heard from U.S. female singer/songwriters in ages (bar Tori Amos).

I saw Sarah live a few years ago when she opened for Rasputina here in NYC on Halloween I think it was. Her performance was very cool. It was just her and her keyboard. Her personality is a little quirky too.

Cool. I'd love her to come to the UK at some point.
I only have Day One. What are her other albums like? I hear they're more piano-based?

I like her. She does a version of Radiohead's "Climbing up the Walls" that is stellar.
