Has anybody else been watching this show? It ain't bad. I actually like many of the performances. There's only one guy who has his "image" together though. I forgot his name. But he has black hair with a blonde streak and dresses sorta Prince-ish. Killer image. But I dunno if he'll pull it out or not. Anybody know who I'm talking about? If so, what are your thoughts and who do you think will win the competition?

I totally agree. I don't care for him much either. His voice is quite average. I'd much rather see Toby or Magni win, but I know I'll never buy the Supernova record anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me who wins.

Lucas just looks cool. Thats pretty much all he has going for him. His voice is average. He has a grunge rock sound with a pop image and a gargantuan ego. So he probably wont' make it. I guess I'm always looking for the next big thing. I grew up listening to Prince, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Teena Marie, Rick James, Van Halen (David Lee Roth version) and Bruce Springsteen. Artists back then brought a total package with them...image, music and a lifestyle. But I digress.

My personal favorite is the woman who sung "Ring of Fire." She took that Johnny Cash song and totally changed it. I'll admit, I probably won't be buying the Supernova album either. They've actually played a couple of cuts with the contestants on tv and none of it blew me away. And you know what? Come to think of it -- Lucas does look like Adam Ant...

i know peeps need to earn a living, but I can help but feel that newstead is selling out, big time.

Okay, I can't say I told you so. But I definitely implied it. Adam Ant look-alike Lukas Rossi won the Rockstar: Supernova competition! Maybe he wasn't the best singer in the contest, but Lukas had the whole rockstar image thing down pat. When you're fronting a band, that's of the utmost importance. Now if they can only write some catchy tunes for the band -- he might actually have a future...

his singing voice is horrid...

I love Lukas. He is something special. His orginal music is superb. He hasn't too well during Rock Star: Supernova, but the recordings of his music with Cleveage and Rise Electric and his performances from before the TV series, show that he really has a very nice voice. He went into this competition thinking the grungy rock voice would pay off for him, but it was his beautiful head voice that got him appraisal from Supernova. I'm glad that he won. I'm pretty sure everyone is going to change their minds once they hear the Supernova record. Lukas sounds good on wax. This is going to be a very good album.

lucas sucks! It was embarrasimg when T bone said 'one word; rockstar' and dropped the mic; totally cringe worthy.
Ryan was easily the best; he add a couple of pefrformances that gave me goosepimples!

BTW; supernova's original songs have been complete garbage.

I kinda figured it would come down to Lucas in the last 2 and then he won. He has the rockstar look and attitude. His voice was actually less grating yesterday for some reason. Maybe he's learning how to actually use it. i can see his head blowing up big time after this.

As for Dilana, she has a cool voice but good lord did she need a makeover. I'm sorry but her looks seemed like a desperate attempt to look cool. It wa way too 1992 goth for my taste. At least Lucas has style.

Ok I'm SOO pissed that they chose Lukas. Dilana would have sounded SO much better with them. Even Toby would have been better and not just because he's hot. I would have gone to see them, but NO WAY now with Lukas in the lead. He sounds like he's trying to sing and throw up at the same time.

My personal favorite was Dilana. I just love her voice. It sorta like Melissa Etheridge, but harder. But I knew all along that Lukas would win it out. His image is much more marketable than Dilana. I'm betting that Dilana's cd will be better than Supernova. So far all the original tunes weren't anything to write home about. I'd rather listen to my old Tripping Daisys cd...
