List your fave songs with creative,- or funny-used samples It's the sample-era and lots of new tracks seem to lack creativity in some sense .
Let's focus on the aspect of surprisingly used loops . A few faves of mine : Digital Underground - Humpty Dance Sample : Let's Play House - Parliament Especially the part in the end where Humpty Hump a.k.a. Shock G shouts : "Let's get stoopid!" , followed by the P-Funk chants "Gimme da music !" Every time when that part comes up i get crazy & jiggy Also their inserted clap-loop and low-bass are infectious . http://youtube.com/watch?v=eJg59EEhI8Y Not really a direct sample , but inventive how George Clinton used the openingline from Dancing In The Streets in Loopzilla . http://youtube.com/watch?v=CfioCJQh3t4 Uncle Sam used on his mid-90's album a sample from Velas , a spherish slowjam from Quincy Jones , on the track Throw Your Hands In The Air . It has been mixed in the intro , but with a backward-spin , so that was weird to hear at first but had me like , dang! [Edited 9/9/06 13:23pm]

Funny - The Beastie's use of the "Dick in the mash potatoes" sample comes to mind.

speaking of DIGITAL UNDERGROUND, I always loved how they flipped "Ballad of Dorothy Parker" for Wussup With The Luv:
