Pink Floyd's The Wall

Interesting album, an extremely enjoyable listen. I really dig the concept they covered of being "A Brick In The Wall" . The music is rhythmic and the basslines have a deep grooves. Yet I wonder how many people actually dug what they were talking about on the album and how many people just bought the album to chant and listen to the guitar chords. There is a deep message in this album that cross-culturally digs into many peoples experiences at some point.

My 2nd favorite band. David Gilmour is an amazing guitarist!! The Wall is excellent, but Animals is by far the best work the band did 2gether.

"The Wall" was the 1st album I ever bought. I was 10 years old and played that album constantly for the next few years. I still love it to this day. I have to admit when I bought it back in 1980 I mainly wanted it so I could sing "We don't need no education..." but as time when on I started understanding what the album was about. I also smoked my first bowl while listening to it when I was a freshman in high school. I was in the basement with this girl who I had the major hots for. Got high, made out with her, and listening to "Young Lust". AH, the good 'ol times.

Anyway, my fave Floyd album is by far "Wish You Were Here". Shine on You Crazy Diamond...

I remember the first time I heard it... I put on the headphones and listened.. when it finished I remember sitting in silence for quite a while... I was stunned!
One of my favourite albums. However, when I investigated Pink Floyd further I found very little of interest. Im so glad I bought that album on a whim instead of any of the others.
