Man, I can't stand child rappers....
The singers r great - Tevin Campbell, The Boys, Mic Little...but the rappers r just annoying as hell.

kriss kross and bow wow dont even deserve to be mentioned on the same forum as shyheim, let alone on the same list in the same thread. kriss kross and bow wow are (were) "child rappers", shyheim is a rapper who started rapping when he was a child....big difference [Edited 9/4/06 12:12pm]

Child Rappers are like gimmicks. Child singers on the other hand can be incredible, Tevin Campbell, Little Stevie Wonder and Little Michael Jackson were brilliant.

Come on lilgish, you already know who isn't the greatest child rapper:
Lil Bow Wow is overrated. Romeo sucks just like his father Master P! And WTF is Shyheim the Rugged Child? And please don't get me started about the downfall of Another Bad Creation! Kriss Kross are the GOAT because their musical impact on mainstream hip-hop culture was better! [Edited 9/4/06 14:32pm]

I wouldn't call Another Bad Creation a rap act. They were something like a soul act that had some rap-based songs and rapped occasionally. Basically, a kiddie version of Bell Biv Devoe. THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

LL Cool J was a "child" when he came out. Can't beat the original. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I would consider a child rapper as someone under the age of thirteen. Teen rappers like LL would be a different category.

Uh, actually...LL started rhyming when he was 9 and did his first studio recording when he was 13. He just didn't become famous until he was 17 so Dauphin is correct. LL is the GOAT in this category!

I'd say Shyheim, but after listening to "On and On," you could tell he had a great flow, but I got the feeling he was parroting ghostwritten lines. But hey, maybe not. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

The impact that Kriss Kross had on hip-hop for child stars are a lot great than anyone else after their era. Also, they were damn good with the party style as well as gangsta style (but without cussing, a major plus!!!).
