No, I didn't see the film. I'll have to check it out just to see George. He was here in Chicago last weekend, but I had to go to a friend's housewarming and missed him. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I've been adding a bunch of songs to my Itunes. Everything from Prince to Aerosmith to The Thorns (very little known "supergroup" that had Matthew Sweet doing three part harmony). As for a full album, I dug out Donna Summer's "Four Seasons Of Love" and keep listening to "Summer Fever". One of her best albums. [Edited 9/7/06 16:18pm]

Let The Drums Speak-Bah Samba Feat. The Fatback Band [Phil Asher Remix] This song gets me going in the morning. Some great house music on this disc. Erotic City by George Clinton and P-Funk is interestingly good. I love that version of Erotic City. Did you ever see PCU? George Clinton was actually in the movie. I love that movie and yeah, that verison was cool and probably the first time I heard "Erotic City".

Prince - Around The World In A Day
There are times when if someone were to ask me for my favorite Prince album, this would be my answer. Edie Brickell And New Bohemians - Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars This was the soundtrack to my freshman year at college. I wore that cassette out. They've got a new album out - I need to pick it up. John Mayer - Continuum I hate the fact that he is dismissed by some because of his early "pop" success. And I love it at the same time. This album is stunningly rock solid. It drops on Sept. 12. Highly recommended for music lovers. Alice In Chains - The Essential In my opinion, the best of the so-called "grunge" bands. Songs that are beautiful, powerful, and sad in equal doses. And Layne's singular voice. A shame he's gone, but he left something real behind.

I agree with you. I have to confess I don't like the first cd that much, but the second one is just superb! As one door closes, another opens...

I absolutely love this band to death. Have you heard the Scud Mountain Boys or Chappaquiddick Skyline albums? I think there just as good as the Pernice Bros albums - in fact, I don't think Joe Pernice is capable of writing a bad song. It's no exageration to say that I l-o-v-e everything that he's done.
