So... You don't know who the meters are, and you can't hear any funk in Snoop's flow.

Yeah, your ears need a funk-tunin'!

lol

1rst of all , Dre started to pay a tribute with The Chronic .
Around the same era Digital Underground did kinda same of that P .
So yeah ,it's fuzed in2 hiphop , as funk has done with many styles .

2 each his own their defenition of funk , but it's imo not the Pure uncut funk from the Mothership or the Riot-funk from Sly or even the raw JB-groove .
I feel it's just a mixture evolved from those styles .

2ndly , there seems a sort of family connection which Snoop has with Charlie Wilson from The Gap Band , but that's another story .

Anyway, I haven't seen any 'Madonna heart H&M' ads' anywhere... well maybe in some magazines but not elsewhere.
Oh, thanks for the GEMM.com link you gave me earlier. I ordered me a copy of Positive Power a couple of hours ago thumbs up!

I just read in my morning-paper that she has a mega-deal with H&M , designed a trainingsiut 4 them which sells like crazy , and that in whenever town she visits in your area's there will be billboards placed with her on it .
One was placed in that morningpaper & looks very stylish .
The article was because of her performances this weekend in my town .

I remember that years ago a neigbourwoman gave me her former cellularphone from the dinosaur-era .
I started to explore what i could get out of that thang .
At one stage i could choose "language" ... i scrolled through the list and saw "susomi" listed there . I thought it was a kinda far-eastern language but it appeared to be one of the Nordic european languages .
Anyway , once i pushed the button for that language , i could not get it back to the english program evillol .... the cellular now is somewhere in my dusty attic .

some of his tracks feature a live band and original music. a lot of west coast rappers didn't use samples as much

Yeah, he uses a live band a lot. I was mainly referring to his voice. Like the way bass can be funky, gutar can be funky, horns can be funky, voice can be funky. It's very rythmic, mellow and when he is half singing/rapping (not rap then sing, more like a "singing sort of talking") it's damn funky. Most of Snoops newer stuff especially is original music, made with Charlie Wilson, Bootsy and even George Clinton.

Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Daz, Kurupt, & Lady Of Rage are all represented as G-Funk (gangsta funk).

G-Funk is the "son" of George Clinton's P-Funk. Except the tempo of G-Funk is a little slower to match the speed of the dancers high on the weed!!!
