Madonna update: "I'm writing my new album now, while on tour"

Madonna did a recent interview with a French magazine, and she was asked about her plans after the tour:

"I just want to do more and better.I could do another dance album, but I don't like to repeat myself.Maybe I will record a ballads album or a musical comedy,or I will direct a movie,or I will only do the music for the movie.Everything is possible with Madonna"

You really want a whole album of ballads from her? I'm not sure if this is a good idea.

I know she hates to repeat herself, but I wish she would make a "Confessions On A Dancefloor Part 2" boxed Not a re-tread,mind you,but a continuation of that concept...a sequel.Take it even further this time.I like the idea of bringing disco back, putting a modern spin on it.Let Jewel and Sheryl Crow do ballads,Maddy is all about dance music!

I sort of agree. Though I'd prefer a traditional pop album, such as Like a Prayer. And I want Pat Leonard on board too. razz

hmmm maybe ditch electronica and make a more organic-sounding pop album? That could be interesting.

I think it would be a welcome change for her. In the end i'd say Like a Prayer is her least dated sounding album and that's thanks to organic instruments. Not that I have anything against a dated sound.

I've said this a million times.... lol

She should work with Jamiroquai! These guys are making the best modern-day disco music.Listen to songs like "Love Foolosophy" and "Little L"...that's the sound that Madonna should venture into.It would be an awesome collaboration!

I found this on a forum:

Madonna seems set to release an as of yet untitled new cd by the end of 2006. Several fan-sites and message boards have been reporting that a rumoured, all-new, secret CD project is in the works and is tentatively planned for release by the end of the year.

There has been no word on any collaborators, but Madonna has been quoted as saying she has a "musical surprise" in the works for fans. It has also been widely reported that she is giving up her acting career to focus on her music career.

An unconfirmed rumour from a French Trade Magazine hints that an A&R rep from Warner Germany confirmed Madonna will be recording a new ballad for the film Arthur and the Invisibles. The new song is believed to be titled "Find Me Nowhere" and it has been described as a lush synth-ballad. It is believed the song was a previously unrecorded demo Madonna worked on with David Foster during her sessions with the producer for her Something to Remember compolation. "Find Me Nowhere" will also be the first single from Madonna's new album. It is not yet known if the single will be included on the film's soundtrack.

the plot thickens hmmm

Months ago, there was a widely circulating rumor that Madonna was gonna release an album consisting of outtakes from 'COADF'.Supposedly, she and producer Stuart Price recorded over 40 songs for that album and she is determined to get the other songs released.Perhaps this will be her next album? I have no complaints!

If that's the case then she should have the sound reworked so it doesn't come off as Confessions throwaways.

I'm sure they'll be some remixing done to the tracks,if this project really happens.

The album should consist of six songs produced with Stuart.
Four songs produced with Jamiroquai.
2 ballads produced with Patrick Leonard.

I don't thing she recorded 40 songs with Stuart...

Personally I would love to see some outtakes from American Life sessions like the 10 minute version of American Life or the electronic Version of X-tatic Process callled "The Process"!

Madonna's ballads are fab...that bitch can't do no wrong!

The leak must have been from William Orbit's side...Liquid Love was reworked by another artist! The new version is on William's website!

Also some instrumental from Ray of Light came from a promotional disc that Willian
Orbit made to promote his production work...in this sampler came even some edit's from madonna's songs he produced!

It was sold some time ago on ebay!

Not sure about a ballads album. It would have to be in the same vein as Bedtime Stories for me to like it.
