Anyone likes India.Arie? She's so inspiring. Every time I hear her music it makes me wanna grab my guitar and write a song. I lover her really much. I think she's better than Alicia Keys -- I do.

Yes, I like India very much. I saw her perform a few months ago. She was excellent. Her music is real and inspiring. I admire her for not selling out. I can't say that she is better than Alicia, I like both of these ladies, but they are quite different IMO.

I'm with you. I don't know about better, but India is definitely good. I consider her and Alicia both to be exceptional artists. But I do love me some India. Her work is all postive and uplifting. She's like Wayne Dyer or Ilyana Van Zandt with a guitar.

India.Arie will be touring this fall. Check out her website or myspace page for dates. You should check her out live, you can get a greater feel for her music. I don't understand the comparison of her to Alicia Keys, to me they are apples and oranges, other than the obvious that they are musicians. Their styles are pretty different enough IMO to distinguish them. I don't have anything negative to say about Alicia, she has her own style.

She is inspiring beautiful bundle of positivity, saw her @ Shepherds Bush last wednesday, her voice is powerful, beautiful and extraordinary. She played keys, guitar and flute. I could marry her.

love her music, it's so soothing and uplifting.

I love her latest single "There's Hope" R&B needs more songs like this! It's so refreshing compared to all the other hip-hop crap that dominates the airwaves.

Alicia is more conventionally attractive. So it's probably easier to market her in some respects. India, on the other hand, isn't. She's good looking, just not in a universal (i.e. european) sorta way. I know everyone here only cares about the quality of the music. But that's not how the rest of the world works. Aesthetics matter. Biases, most of which are subconscious and totall devoid of malice, play a part in artistic success. I have them, you do too and so does everybody else. Alicia and India are both great musicians. But people compare the two because they're intrigued by the disparity in the their commercial success...

I love her music. She is so gifted. I don't think that she gets the respect that she's due. The sad thing about it is, If she had supermodel good looks. She'd be the hottest artist in the industry right now.

I have said this once and I will say it again.....India.Arie, bores me....to no end. Her music is just so damn sugary and "goody-goody". I need something that has bite, that does not always have a happy ending to it....
