OMG, Darius Rucker's new album is HOT. Okay, I just decided to pick up Darius Rucker's new album "Back To Then" and people...oh my goodness, i can't believe how solid and nice this record is. This is a good album. It's such a departure from his Hootie records. His voice sounds so good.
Listen/Download these tracks to be convinced... "Sometimes I Wonder (Duet with Jil Scott)" (hands down...wow, one of the best duets of the year) "Somewhere" (this song will stay in your head) "Wild One" (this will make you groove) "This Is My World" (good pop song) "Hold On" "Amazing Grace" (he does a MEAN acapella!!) He switches up from old soul, gospel, southern R&B, inspirational songs, it's very electic with a southern pop R&B soul transcendent appeal. I recommend you pick this record up. I saw the video for "Wild One" and I was really impressed.His solo music seems to be more soulful than the stuff he did with Hootie and The Blowfish. | |
