Your welcome!

For some instant pleasure I would probably first get the Beethoven sonatas for violin and cello. They are absolutely mesmerizing. Especially Sonata in A minor for violin.

I started playing violin at age 10. My parents never listened to classical music, but I studied in the classical tradition. I constantly played in orchestras from age 12 and practiced violin solo music for hours and hours so I could perform. The music really gets inside you when you play in an orchestra and perform it. Now I go to the symphony a lot and sit in the audience but it's not the same as playing in one and experience the flow in that way.

Classical music is exhilirating. I find it more technically fun to play baroque and classical period music, but I prefer to listen to contemporary composers from the 20th century. It's more stimulating to my ear. (Bach and Mozart tend to get kind of boring for me)
