TRON is a STAR! My iPod crashed exactly a year to the day that I bought it. It had to be sent in and the hard drive and battery replaced, deleting all of the files. Nathan took it today and filled it with luscious goodies ~ nearly 5000 songs ~ I'm in absolute musical heaven . I won't get too here, but THANK YOU TRON for once again opening musical doors. Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife. --Kahlil Gibran

Oh, it was my pleasure. I'm just lucky that I have Ian's extra computer for storing all of that music. My little laptop could never keep up with my music demands. I know how sucky it is when your iPod goes screwy and you have to start from scratch. Not a good feeling. Now we just need to figure out how to get those songs on your computer too.

My computer would never support that many tunes ~ when you initially open the iPod program, you can have it update automatically (which will add all songs everytime you plug in), or manually (you select the tracks you want) so I chose the manual due to space restrictions. I have about a thousand songs not on my iPod ~ things waiting to be sorted or trying to decide where they want to fit. I'm saving for a high powered. large capacity computer but it's a while off. An external hard drive does the trick without having to upgrade your computer. Plus in case of accident you won't lose all those songs, I have formatted my computer and recovered my 40GB library in a matter of minutes

Easy to connect. Just plug the USB or Firewire connection and there you go. I don't know the prices there. Here you can get 160GB or 250GB units for around $150
