My favorite Metal intros are Signs of Chaos by Testament, which is a song in itself. The most memorable Metallica intro is One, the video makes it so. Cool video. For Whom The Bell Tolls is also pretty cool. Slayer's Raining Blood is one my favorites. Iron Man by Sabbath is corny, but a classic. The intro to Thunderkiss 65 is quite cool.

On the lighter side No One Like You by the Scorpions has a great intro and solo. Sweet Child O Mine by GNR.

yes yes yes! To all you mentioned. nod Except the Testament one because I don't know it I don't think. confuse

The only reason I know this is because i'm researching wah-wah pedals trying to get a fix on the vintage of a VOX (made in England) model i've got.

Hip Hop

One memorable intro is T.R.O.Y by Pete Rock and C.L Smooth just because the lead in is much different from the song.

I like the intro to Looking For a perfect Beat by Bambaataa, It’s being used on a Tv commercial. I like the intro the Jungle Brothers I’ll house You which samples Randy Jackson from the Jacksons Live album. The intro to Insane in the Membrane. King of Rock by Run Dmc and Rock the Bells by LL Cool J are some strong as intros. The Flava In Ya Ear (remix) only cause Diddy took it from the warrior movie. Juicy by Biggie. Mind over Matter into New Jack Hustler.

Hip-hop has a lot of good spoken word intro’s. Like on the first Wu-tang album and then many are corny as hell like Jay’ Z on Can't Knock The Hustle which is a good song with an awful intro. The most fucked up memorable intro for me has to be First day of School by Ice Cube. as a teenager that intro really fucked with me and my friends.

I was just talking about Spacehog the other day because I was wondering what ever happened to them. lol Well, I know the lead singer married Liv Tyler. I always thought it was a great band name, Spacehog. You know, Pigs in Space, from the Muppet Show and all. lol

One I'd nominate is "Dog It" from arguably the most underrated hip-hop album of all time, Blowout Comb. It opens with an Eric Dolphy riff and then kicks in.
