OK I keep seeing songs I know nothing about. WHere do these exist? Are they B-Sides? Are they good? Are there a lot of songs she has that aren't on her albums? The only ones I know about I think is Ain't no big deal, Superpop and Fightling Spirit (the 2 latter are really the only ones I have heard).

I have only recently become aware of her B-Sides which I didn;t think there were that many, but apparently I am wrong on that. I also didn't think she had that much unreleased material, but apparently she has (no where near the amount our Lil Purple one has, but for someone who has had a 20 year plus career and over 10 albums, she has to obviously have some).

So what is the deal with her unreleased or non-album material?

Madonna is notorious for having SHITTY b sides. No wonder she is such a quality control freak. Some people swear by "has to be" a "ray of light" outtake but I think it's SHITE. "Supernatural" from the "Like A Virgin" is pretty decent. "Goodbye to Innocence" sucks. "Let Down Your Guard" sucks. "Superpop" and "Fighting Spirit" suck. "Cyberraga" sucks. Trust me, 99% of them suck...

but then "Vogue" was originally a b-side.

Ain't No Big Deal is the best - it was originally supposed to be her VERY FIRST single ever, and also was the song that got her signed.

Has To Be is sweet. All the Bedtime Stories stuff is killer. I love Goodbye To Innocence - has the old Shep Pettibone cold sound. The ROL outtakes are ok, though not wonderful. Liquid Love is just gross.

Most other b-sides aren't really worth it.

"Supernatural" is probably my favorite and it had been included on "Like A Prayer", that might be my favorite Madonna album (same for "Let Down Your Guard" and "Bedtime Stories"). Never heard the WB verison of "Ain't No Big Deal" so I can't judge it but I liked the verison I heard. "Goodbyte To Innocence" is a snooze but I love (and I'm sure I'm alone here) the "Up, Down Suite". Hot as hell!

most of the tracks get reworked and put somewhere else.

Hollywood was an outtake for many years before she reworked it with Mirawais.
