Kravitz. His albums usually have way more songs that i like that T's. "Man, the living creature, the creating individual, is always more important than any established style or system" - Bruce Lee

Besides the fact that they're both brothers that just happens to do music, it's apples and oranges. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

I definitely have to agree. I enjoy both of their music, but they are indeed very different artists. I think that both men are very talented.

Lenny is a walking, talking cliche. Terence is a genuinely creative man. It's an ass whupping.

TTD in every way, Lenny Kravitz is mostly about the image, if it weren`t for his image, he wouldn`t be nearly as popular... [Edited 8/15/06 8:57am]

Lenny may be a walking, talking cliche but I really enjoy and love about 90% of his songs. He walks the walk as far as I'm concerned and that's what matters.
I bought TTD's 'Hardline' way back in the day and eventually accepted that my $15 was a wasted investment. Just didn't like it at all. I'm willing to try anything better tho [Edited 8/15/06 17:57pm]

ARE U KIDDING ME????? As much as EVERYONE said TTD was "biting" Prince, we now see that ain't the case!!!!! Whereas Lenny sounds like his Mama's record collection!!!! And that's NO DISS towards his Mama (Roxie Roker rest in peace!!), cuz I LOVED me some Helen Willis back in tha day!!!! TTD was/still is a breath of fresh air!!! I WILL ADMIT: Lenny puts on one helluva show!!!! But I gotta go with TTD ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Two totally different artists who so happen to share complexion and, occasionally, hairstyles.
TTD's voice is one of the best in modern music, IMHO. And, his writing can be nuanced, intelligent and extremely visual. He also can bring the funk, when he wants. TTD's the total package, artist-wise. Lenny's stuff gets me more at gut level. His stuff comes off less original, but I love the vibe that permeates a lot of his earlier stuff. I have all his records, but none approaches a "Neither Fish Nor Flesh" (an album I love).

I like Lenny in the same way as I like tribute bands. You can enjoy a tribute band but you don't ever mistake a tribute band for a real artist.

There's a little more to it than physical characteristics. They both span rock & soul, not fitting into either genre perfectly, but crossing boundaries in their appeal. They both play most of the instruments on their albums, and play them pretty well. They both are huge Prince fans, but the music they do is a bit more organic sounding than his tends to be. They've both got their rabid fans and their extreme haters. Terence is more of the artist, but Lenny succeeds better in what he's trying to accomplish, to me at least. My Legacy

Not as long as you remember to mention they are both wannabe Princes and acknowledge Prince's superiority in every post.

I think this is a matter of style vs. substance. They could both use a little of what the other has in abundance. As it stands I'll go with substance.

TTD
If all you did was listen to three songs from Vibrator I think you would agree that TTD is in a different stratosphere than Lenny. Please do yourself the favor of hearing or re-examining "Vibrator", "Undeneiably", and "We Don't Have that Much Time Together".
