It's a shining example of an excellent cover. I love Total Respect Of Other People. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Yes. They did an amazing job with this song. I think that entire album is grossly underrated. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Troop has one of the greatest "stories" in band history.
Unable to find a record company to sign them and with no money to make a demo, these guys went on an '80s show called "Putti'n on the Hits", a very hokey nationwide lip synk (no way I spelled that right) competition and took first prize. $10,000! Took the money... made a demo...got signed!!! Talk about "love fot the game"! P.S. Thier version of "Sweet November", best cover EVER. live4luvandluvwillive4u

"All I Do Is Think Of You" by Troop and "Two Occassions" by The Deele are two of my favorite mid-tempo jams in the 80s.

Well, I don't think it's "Respect" or "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." That being said, I think it is one of those rare covers that's better than the original. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

They know all about the whole cover-better-than-the-original thing (I prefer their "Who's Lovin' You" and "Stand!"). Still, I like the Troop version of AIDITOY better.
