Jesse Powell does anybody remember this dude?  i was listening to two tracks of his
"you" and a cover of one way's "something in the past" beautiful voice. i wonder what happened to him. | |

I don't know what happened to him but he needs to hurry up and make some more music. "You" still makes me wanna cry when I hear it. Did he make that cut Real Love or was that Jesse Campbell? [Edited 8/25/06 19:46pm] | |

Are you talking about "Real Love" by Lorenzo? Even though "You" was Jesse Powell's biggest hit, my favorite was the debut single from his first album, "All I Need." That song was bangin'!  "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis | |

"You" was the shit! Another jam off 'Bout It' was "You're The One I Love." That whole album was nice. ~This brown experience made me the man that I was meant to be~

I've had the avi of Jesse since his last cd dropped over two years ago. I just realized another poster has the same avi. Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight

I thought it was cool how he had his mom singing on parts of the song. I've heard three versions of "You" that I absolutely love. I own all of his cds and am hoping that he is in the process of dropping a new one. The only reason I knew about his last CD is because I looked him up on ebay and someone in the U.K. was selling it and also gave a release date for the states. The CD received no radio airplay whatsoever. He's another talent that does not receive promotion from his record label. I believe his last effort was on an indie label.
