It's about time L.A. had a proper music festival. But yet, they go and muck it up by charging $35.50. LA Weekly's a sister paper to the Village Voice. Why can't they just host the darn thing for free like Voice did with SIREN this summer. Hold it in Venice Beach or Pershing Square downtown. Although I'm not really keen on many of these acts, I'm sure the roster will get stronger in subsequent years if the turn out is healthy and they drop this ridiculous fee. Damn, L.A., is it that hard to not charge money for an outdoor music fest?

BTW, the roster for San Fran's BE THE RIOTTT! festival in November is far better and it's cheaper --> $27.50.

remember it's not La Reina's gig
