What's the point of Andre saying that he's not performing anymore?...Now many will think he's not on the CD and will not run out and pick it up tomorrow?

Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

nod Mufucka's like Prince without the good songs.

Andre 3000,
If you're gonna act like (as you put it) "your shit don't stank", at least come out with some good tunes. Love Below was kinda hot, but I just heard Idlewild and if fucking blows. It has it's moments but after what you did last night, I was expecting some of that hot shit. It certainly isn't good enough to go on Letterman, not perform with Big Boi, and then say ten words to David Letterman on the couch while staring straight ahead with those bug-eyed ass sunglasses on.

For those who didn't see Outkast on Letterman last night. Andre tried to act like Prince when he was on Bandstand in '79 giving the host the shine during the interview even though he didn't perform. Difference was, when Prince gave Dick Clark the shine, he just finished doing "I Wanna Be Your Lover", when 3000 gave Letterman the shine, Big Boi performed "Morris Brown" and kicked ass while 3000 was fucking around in the green room.

As much of an ass as Andre acted last night--how can Big Boi sit there and not want to smack him across his bitch ass face.

What is with Dre's attitude? Am I being too harsh? I like, and I stress like, some of the tracks on Idlewild. But like I said, you have to be brilliant to be and asshole. If you ain't brilliant, u just an asshole.

If the man doesn't want to perform then I don't see anything wrong with it. All they are obligated to do is give the people music...plus why should he do something he isn't feeling anymore?

I don't think he acted stuck-up or uptight either. I just think he gets tired of the same questions being asked. He seems like he just wants people to respect his decision.

Well perhaps I'm pissed because I stayed up til 12:30am to see Outkast, not Big Boi.

Here, I'll give you a timeline to illustrate:

11:35pm :
Turn on Letterman excited

11:50pm :
Finally finished w/monologue & top ten rolleyes

12am :
Julianna Margolies shows some leg horny drool

12:15am :
Trying to stay awake during that horrible comedians set stoned

12:25am :
Just finished 10 minutes of commercials confuse

12:29am :
Just finshed 5 minutes more of commercials mad

12:30am :
Big Boi does Morris Brown. No sign of Andre 3000 headbang + whofarted

12:34am :
Andre and Big Boi do the interview. Big Boi is all smiles and does most of the talking. Andre says he is taking a break from performing. mad

12:36am :
Show is over. Why the fuck did I stay up? wall

12:37am :
zzz

6am :
Still gotta get up for work. Andre's probably sleeping next to a model. Mother fucker. err
I wish u heaven

Actually...I would think Andre should be fortunate enough that Dave thinks enough of them to actually have an interview with them. 8 times out of 10 the musical act is just that. No interview whatsoever.

However, to anyone that knows...has he done enough promotion for Idle that he could even claim he's tired of the same questions being asked?

I agree. He didn't act stuck-up, at all. Still, it wasn't wise to say that he's not performing anymore, without adding that he's still recording. Especially after the Big Boi performance. It's not so much that it sounded bad, it just looked bad. If you're gonna do "marching band", the steps should be tight. It was pretty messy.
