I was thinking about this last week as I sat and watched old clips from The Jacksons variey show in the late 70's.

Rebbie could take it or leave it. She left it. I honestly wonder if she even wanted to record in the first place or if she was just capatilizing on or pressured by "Michaelmania" in 1984. It seemed like that's the only year they all released something (I think)

Janet's strenghth was in acting and she really wanted to go to college before Control

But LaToya. What did she really wanna do and why didn't she pursue it truthfully? As pretty as she was she could have been an actress or model.


Where are the laToys fans that can answer this mystery?

LaToya is that girl who used to say things like "my father raped me" "no he didnt, Jack Gordon made me say that"--"Michael abuse children" "no he actually never abuse.. Jack Gordon made me say that"--Could she be a star?

This chick didn't even leave home until she was almost 30 years old. Did she even have a job?

Seems to me what she wanted to do more than anything was look like her brother. She and MJ's noses are almost identical now and for every nose job he got, it seems she was getting one around the same time in a similar style.

Not to mention the shades...

Anyway, I don't want to have a plastic surgery debate. I'm talking the girl's job skills and career aspirations. Is she just a slacker, or what? even her book was jsut her version of what went on the lives opf her family memebers. I don't remeber her saying anything about what she was about and what she wanted to do.

I was halfway joking, really. In regards to LaToya's career aspirations, I'm not sure what she wanted to do.. I only know that she would have made a fabulous model in those early years:

She wanted to study Business Law.

I think Rebbie enjoys singing but doesn't need the lifestyle or pressure that comes with being a performer. Why would she bother to record that last album she had and promoted? If she has the opportunity great, if not, no loss.

Too Bad Latoya wasn't born about 25 years later then she was. She'd fit right in today's music with the rest of the good-looking but no talent singers of this era.

I think it was the 2004 Frank Skinner interview she talked about what she wanted to do. That was the one when she went into further details about Jack Gordon because she thought her divorce gag order didn't apply to outside the USA. Luckily Jack Gordon died a few months later.

I remember some girls were telling me LaToya did a show at Shieks (or maybe it was Solid Gold back then I don't know)here in Minneapolis but she hosted this PayPer View special or something there. I do remember even my dad talking about going to see her there! So I think she kinda liked being a sex symbol...is that a job, sex symbol?

LaToya was the most sheltered of the nine kids. Michael was always an introvert but LaToya seemed just.....different. If anyone has seen that Unauthorized video from 1984 of MJ mocking himself, you'll see that LaToya was really naive
