I wanted to recommend the Org some Bands

This is mainly directed at the American orgers who don't see too much of the UK Rock/Indie music scene which is in full swing at the moment.

Here's some bands I recommend:

White Rose Movement
www.myspace.com/whiterosemovement

My favourite band at the moment. A brilliant combination of party rock jams combined with electronic synths. Just awesome, with a brilliant sing. Even better when drunk and partying. I don't think there is a single bad track on their album "Kick" - it's all just consistent and..well, brilliant!

Metric
www.myspace.com/metricband

A really great chick-fronted band. She's great singer too. Again, upbeat stuff...Monster Hospital is the best track.

The Infadels
www.myspace.com/infadels

A great band. Another combo of indie with electronica. The track "Love Like Semtex" is easily the best, but sadly they only have some dance remix on their myspace.

Muse
www.myspace.com/muse

A pretty well-established rock band; I'm always surprised when people haven't heard of them. Their latest album is a total departure from their usual stuff - it's much more poppy, but I actually prefer it. Some really great and inadvertently comic rock anthems in this album about Knights, and Mars...and stuff.

The Earlies
www.myspace.com/theearlies

They haven't released a new album in a while but their last album was brilliant. A genuine 60s hippy vibe going on. A brilliant album to relax to with some genuinely amazing tunes that make your head go all funny as if you've just taken a kilo of smack.

Bloc Party
www.myspace.com/blocparty

There was a lot of hype about this band since they brought a new and fresh sound to the scene that a lot of people loved (I at the time hated it). Since then we've had so many copycats they don't sound that new - however I've recently come to love their album and I recommend them to you all now. The lead singer is a big Prince fan too, so yeah - you should support him.

Stereodistas
www.myspace.com/stereodistas

Some really obscure, unsigned band from Windsor - they seem pretty average but one of their songs, Stevie Wonder, really got lodged in my head.
shrug lol

Hope you all enjoy!

Listen, BAUMEISTER.
The rest of the Org may not know of Metric! Plus, the singer is hot as a warmed-up brownie covered in Brandy Cream.

I already have that last Metric album. It's great. MTV's Subterranean show has showed the "Monster Hospital" video a few times.

A lot of my friends like White Rose Movement. I love "Love is A Number". I've been thinking about picking their album up if I ever see it. The problem is that I never see it.

There was a lot of hype about Bloc Party in the U.S. last year. I've seen a few of their videos on MTV also and their sound is cool, but I was never motivated enough to get 'Silent Alarm'.

man, Muse are big already.....I can't stand them.....but I must admit that their new single 'Starlight' is easily one of my favorite songs right now.....(ok, I also like 'Supermassive Black Hole')

I know they're big, but I was recommending. Plus they're not that big in America, at least, no americans I spoke to knew of them.

I like Metric quite a lot... they get a lot of airtime here. She has a really great voice.
