Anybody here Gary Taylor fans?

a cousin of the late songwriter Skip Scarborough, this Quiet Storm master has written hits for everyone from The Whispers ("Just Gets Better With Time", " My Heart, Your Heart") to Anita Baker("Good Love"), to Vesta Williams and Lalah Hathaway ("I'm Coming Back"), but he's been putting out his own soulful albums for years, beginning with the G. T. album, for A&M records in 1983. a proposed second album was to be called "Just Gets Better with Time" but unfortunately, A&M never released it(though promotional 45s were shipped out). The song did turn up later, recorded by Alfie Silas, then later, as major R&B hit for The Whispers. Gary's solo career continued on his album Compassion, this time on Virgin records. This album yielded the Quiet storm track, "Tease Me". But Taylor soon found we wasn't happy with the Major Label route, so he decided to go small independent, releasing Take Control and Square One(1993) on Sindrome records. ("Blind To It All" from "Square One", became another major Quiet Storm hit). Eventually he formed his own "Morning Crew" label, and releases the albums himself. His newest, "Retro Blackness" continues his penchant for moody, soulful chord- changing melodies.
