Do u guys like Lyfe Jennings? What's his story?

i really liked his first cd... however the new one is horrible

His voice is annoying and he couldn't write a song to save his life. But, y'know, he seems to have had a rough time with life, so I wish him the best.

Yes he was Graycap23. Here's one of his songs talking about his prison life. The song is called 26 years and 17 days. I listened to his album back in early 2004 and a friend of mine heard him sing at a club back in 2003. He plays acoustic guitar as well. Has a raw sound. I'm sorry if some don't agree but I find his voice amazing, you could feel the song when he sings it. He definitely has his own "unique" style. When I finally heard his songs given air play, all I could say was "It's about time.

This song is deep. He plays acoustic guitar as well, but he really didn't start getting recognition or airplay until 2005. You have to see him perform live to appreciate him. He can hit some high notes.

His voice is annoying and his long ass verbal interludes between songs got on my damn nerve. I dont give a shit what you've been through, just sing the damn song, muthafucka.
