holy crap that was awesome..who knew patti would be willing to tone it down to let a white chick shine?

ya know, its really sad that moments like this just cant happen...cindy was able to hold her own next to the legendary patti and together they delivered a jaw dropping performance...now, can you really see any of today's artist be able to work with a legend like this? without thirty dancers, a horse and fireworks?

The song was actually really nice. Patti looked gorgeous in the music video.
Did he write that during the Lovesexy era?
But performing live... she hollers too much for me.

Glad you appreciate that. Someone started a thread on that performance a few days ago and only me and shortrini bothered to check it out. I haven't felt shivers down my spine like that in a long time. Cyndi should still be a superstar today. People have no idea how talented she is. If you can find her performance on the Joni Mitchell Tribute concert of "Carey" you'll see her tear the house down. Totally transformed the song and you could see Joni could hardly control herself watching it.

the song came out in 1989. i find her delivery on the album version, while less histrionic, irritatingly affected. otherwise, it's a very good song.

it was a relatively big hit for her too at the time, IIRC.
