Now this is REAL old school......

You know you're an old motherfucker when you've seen 78s.....



My grandmother used to have several of them. Those records were thick as hell.

I can't remember but I think they had only one song on side A (kinda like a 12 Inch) and a clear blank B side. I don't know what you would play them on because I haven't seen a turntable with a 78 speed in years. lol

I think I had a few children's records that were 78 rpm. This is going waaay back of course.

This is such a coincidence because just this morning, my brother and I were asking his wife (who was born in 1979) if she knew what a 45 was in reference to music and she knew it was a record, but didn't know what the number 45 actually meant. And she's only ten years younger than me!

I have a bunch also and a turntable that the schools played back in the day. but cinister cee has the fly one right there. I agree those 78's break in a heartbeat

A few years ago, my young Step-Daughter saw a couple of 78's we had in storage and said "Wow! These sure are some big cd's" lol lol

biggrin My grandfather brought stacks of them back from Europe I guess in the 40s or 50s when he was there. It's a lot of classical music.
