I just love the diverse listening tastes of Prince fans. i got that song to. love it brownsugar, I was just saying in another thread yesterday how I hated the fact that today's popular artists don't write lyrics like this anymore. perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

I was buying the other three reissues on sale at Tower and this one was onsale too, just two dollars more so I figured what the hell. Aw, who am I kidding? As a Banshees fan, this rerelease was more of a priority to me than the Cure CDs. I finally bought Blue Sunshine yesterday! I haven't listened to it yet. I have a feeling I'm going to get more from my money off of "Kiss Me" and "Head on the Door", but I'm going into it with an open mind, anyway. I had the cassette of "Blue Sunshine" years ago and I liked it okay, but I didn't listen to it a lot because, well, it was a cassette.

My Curefest continues this weekend...I'm listening to the bonus disc from the "Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me" reissue, and I ran around shopping this afternoon listening to The Glove's "Blue Sunshine" reissue bonus disc with the Robert Smith vocals...which I like better than the actual album!

I've been so stuck on Kiss Me and Head on the Door that I haven't even made it to the other two yet. What's that Glove bonus disc like?

I've been so stuck on Kiss Me and Head on the Door that I haven't even made it to the other two yet. What's that Glove bonus disc like? It's the entire Blue Sunshine album with vocals by Robert Smith instead of the girl, and then a few remixes and whatnot at the end, all with RS vocals. The backing tracks are a little more spare than the finished album, but it still sounds tight - not loose and demo-ey like some of the other bonus disc stuff (which I still love to death). The main "Blue Sunshine" disc has remixes and b-side stuff tacked on to the end as well.
