How can I ever forget about Rose Royce; 'Wishing on the Star', 'Car Wash', were the jam back in the day. I think those of us that grew up in the 70s and 80s were really spoilt for choice when it came to good Soul music....
I mean there were so many geniuely talented bands/groups/singers around; from teeny boppers like the J5 to Rose Royce to Maze to EWF and the Commodores. You forget how great these guys were. A question about Rose Royce did they change the lead singer several times?

That's Gwen Dickey (aka Rose Norwalt), she was the original singer with Rose Royce. I'm a musician and worked with her ten years ago, it was the first recording i ever played in a professional capacity, she is a lovely lady though, she left rose royce because norman whitfield allegedly was a complete control freak over her life...
