Just picked up Outkast's new album today...

Some stores were selling it early!

All I can say is: this is Andre3000's Under The Cherry Moon/Parade.

I like it. It doesn't sound like Love Below and it's great. I can see why people are saying it won't sell: there's nothing on here that classifies as "radio friendly". It kind of jazz-inflienced instead.

Sounds interesting. I thought The Love Below/Speakerboxx was slightly overrated, let's see about this one.

i'm so not excited about this album. i mean, i'll buy it. if it's good i'll get geeked over it like i did the last one. but i've been hearing about this project for so long now, i feel like it's already jumped the shark without even happening yet.

I listened to this all day yesterday. It is really good. The new Rolling Stone review calls it Outkast's "Parade". He also says this Outkast is the best dou since Prince and himself. I would not say that it is as good as Parade but after a few listened I really like it.

Anyone else think that "Makes no Sense" could be a slap at P and 1+1+1=3. I know they give props to P but listen and let me know what you think.

It's great !

Don't agree with that it's not radio friendly

N2U and the The Train would make great singles !

Really? I don't know...I think I'll wait for it to be like $10...I don't know that it's worth owning early for five dollars more.

Me too, in London. It's great, I think.

It did sound like a couple of the tunes were "Prince-like" you surely couldn't miss that. But I have to say I love Outkast because of their distinctive sound.

this album could have been condensed to about 10 tracks.. 3 from big boi and 4 from andre, maybe the final 3 from guest appearances..

a majority of the album lacks.. poor quality.

highlights: Train, PJ & Rooster, Morris Brown, chronomentraphobia (or however u spell it)

Honestly.. thats about it.. the pj and rooster song is the best one on it.

everything else = doo doo

I don't mind andre singing, I gave him the go for it when I heard the last album.. I dug it all..

but some of that shit thats "jazzy" he is "trying" to sing to isnt working.. one of the last tracks on the album is him singing behind a jazzy toned music.. is horrid sounding.. he doesn't have the chops for that.. at all..

a let down

agreed. did u read the village voice review? dude sums it up 4 me.
i don't get how/why ppl drink the kool-aid when it comes 2 these guys
if this was prince or someone else.....ohhhh boy.
a few years back when prince was doing the jazzy big band thing, it was shitted on,to say the least
now that 'kast is doing it, it's soooo genius.
just because it's different does not mean it's good
all of these songs sans a few sound like that damn scooby doo song they did or speakerboxx rehashes....
as much as i hate sb/tlb, it still had some moments
the singing thing was fresh and new and should have been one time and then put down
now this dude thinks he is a frigging singer?
puhleeeeeze
minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam
