last night i was surfing the cable channels and i came across a new station called The Tube and they were showing some pretty cool videos so i looked on the net to see what the channel is all about and it turns out its a station aimed at 35+ year olds and they show a good mix of old and new stuff for example this morning they showed the new video by Ziggy Marley,then they showed Prince i wanna be your lover then some new stuff by Dashboard Confessionals then Huey Lewis I want a new drug!

this is the kind of station thats been needed for a long time they show all video 24 hours a day and their slogan is no reality shows,no game shows just music!

this looks like a great outlet for older artists such as Lionel Richie and Prince to get new videos shown

The Tube began operations last summer, and its slogan is, "Think of it as music television, only with music." It plays about 14 videos per hour, and unlike MTV and its offspring, has no VJs, no game shows, no reality shows, no awards shows and only 6 minutes of advertising per hour. Garland refers to it as the "deconstruction" of music television.

I need to see if I can get me some of this.

i've had it for about a year or so, and i think i've 5 videos off of there. the only 2 prince videos i've seen on there are kiss and ICNTTPOYM, from SOTT movie. the videos are definitely skewed in a way to not embrace too many black artists...lots of rock/new wave though, just saying.
