There lies the problem. The majority of the CD buyers today are the dubasses who are into this shit. And as long as the record lables, producers, artists etc., can make money off of the crap that sells today, its not going to stop.

lol

I've told the story of my daughter having BBD "poison" on her myspace page and how she was getting so many notes of the kids asking, "Who is that?" lol

She was like dang.. confused

I listen to crap and I listen to the good stuff. You just cant find the good stuff on the radio.

As BK always says, the crap has always been around. There's just no balance.

Frankly, there's just a lotta Janet's nowdays lol Janet had great music but that chyle can't sing.

Exactly and now Janet's "music" isn't even hittin' on anything and you're just left with "can't sing".

I so wish I owned a radio station and was the program director.

I really wonder when things are going to change in the music industry? When are people going to say "Enough's Enough"? Someone mentioned the boy bands of a few years ago and I thought music was in a bad way then but I didn't realize it would be this bad in 2006. I love old school but it sucks that I have to search high and low to find some decent let alone hot new music. As the U2 song goes, "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". disbelief

I sorry, but I couldn't listen to this shyt anymore after the first 2 minutes of this song! If this is the future of what's to come in R&B, we rot!!!

And BTW, Tommy Mottola should get his ass fired from Universial from signing this child a recording contract (if he is responsible).

The record industry is totally to blame. They sign a bunch of disposable artist to make enough hit singles for the next "Now that's what I call music"compilation.

R&B isn't what it use 2 be. Its not about talent anymore. If you look and dance good then BAM..your in the door. Its so sad that its like this but it is.

but record sells are down and keep going down but that's not stopping them.

We need to just say we're not buying any music for a week, no Itunes...no nothing.

I don't know why ppl think the old fashioned boycott wouldn't work nowadays. Money rules more now than ever.

Oh my FREAKING God! She sounds pitiful!

I just decided to check out what all the noise was in this thread and honestly I can’t believe this girl got signed. I don’t care how cute she is. When is the line drawn???? What does she have three back up singers for?

Funny thing is I’ve heard bits of the instrumental before and sorta liked it. I thought it was a commercial or something. I had no idea it was a real song with someone attempting to do what some would call sing over it.

Doesn’t Sean know that the artists he signs are also a reflection of him as a businessman? Like drugs, just because someone tries to sell you crap doesn’t mean you have to buy it. P. Diddy = Crap Dealer

I could not sit through two minutes of that mess...

I'm not suprised that Diddy signed her. At one point, Bad Boy was a decent label but when Diddy decided that he wanted to become an artist, things went sour.

Then he has the nerve to defend her lack of talent by saying it's "shyness". Please.....stage presence and talent should have been the things that got his attention, not her looks.

I agree 100% with Rhondab. A boycott would really work.

Ha! My playlist would be anyone that displays even a modicum of talent and/or originality. And I would not confine it to older artists or new artists... black, white, yellow or brown.

And I difinetely would not let anyone one group or artist get played every hour, on the hour, every day for four months. I would keep the genres confined to r&b/soul, rock, pop, and alternative. No straight up classical or country ... sorry. Not that I can't appreciate those genres I just don't think they would mix well with the others I would want to feature.
