You guys are taking this too serious....this is probably a gig that they took at the last minute...it's not even listed on their official site www.mintconditionmusic.com .They have/had some very good gigs lined up for this summer...the concert with Teena Marie the day before this gig will be nice..they played the Blue Note in Japan for a week...The Jazz Cafe in London for 2 nights is a very good one...The date in Dallas with Lalah Hathaway will be a very good gig...i'll check that one out.

Would YOU list that on your site? lol

At least they have a gig. Besides, bands can't be too choosey these days. Believe me, even if it's a small gig, it's still a gig, nonetheless. A PAYING gig. My old band did enough freebies to appreciate any gig that shells out some bucks. And believe it or not, some of these small venues actually bring out the real music lovers. And some artists (even big-names) actually prefer the more intimate crowds.

*Last year, the Whispers, Patti Labelle and some other r&b greats did a concert at a local park in a bad area of town. Some of the acts had bottles thrown at them by some ignorant teens who wanted to hear some hip hop...

All I can say is that the kids today have changed (at least in my area)...no respect at all. Even 10-11 year-olds are goin' around smashing car windows/carrying guns/selling drugs...I live next to a park, so I see it all day and all night...

They're having a concert today in the same area. Hope it turns out better than last year...

Mint has been playing a lot of small venues since the release of luxury brown
last summer. Then they will occasionally play the bigger venues with teena
marie, alicia keys, etc. The problem with mint in the past is that they don't
play by the industry rules. They refused to do track shows because they are a
live band and they just don't follow the political b.s that goes with the industry. That is why they have their own label. The music that they sell now and the tours that they do whether big or small they keep a bigger percentage
of their work instead of getting raped by these big record companies. They will
always remain under the radar but the true mint fans like me know they will bring their A game to the stage and won't take a back seat to anyone sharing the
stage with them. They recently did a show with troop, rftw, and toni, tone, tone.
I heard that mint kicked all of their asses. Mint is alright with me whether
they are playing a big arena, house of blues,or the coffee house down the street. headbang

Hey that's tha times we live in Live music is like tha dinosaur age unfortunately but I like all things it will come full circle one day until then
groups like mint and anybody that wants to go against tha machine will survive by putting out there owm stuff and gaining a true following with a bigger percentage selling out of there trunks
