LEGENDARY FUNKMASTER GEORGE CLINTON JOINS SIRIUS


Rock and Roll Hall of Famer to Contribute Across the Sirius Music Line-Up

NEW YORK, July 25 - Sirius Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI), the premier satellite
radio broadcaster, and George Clinton, the visionary pioneer and architect of funk,
have joined forces to bring the artist's musical expertise and unique energy to
Sirius listeners coast-to-coast. As the newest member of the Sirius Sounding
Board, Clinton will now be heard across a variety of the company's 100 percent
commercial free music channels.

One of the original pioneers of funk, George "Dr. Funkenstein" Clinton masterminded such
renowned groups as Parliament, Funkadelic, and the P-Funk Allstars, giving birth to the sound
known around the world as "funk:" a melting pot of rhythm & blues, jazz, gospel, and
psychedelic rock, prefiguring everything from rap and hip-hop to techno and alternative.
Praised for his creative strides and enthralling live performances, Clinton has more than 40
R&B hits, including three chart toppers and three platinum albums to his credit. In 1997,
George Clinton's contribution to the musical landscape was honored with an induction into The
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

As part of Clinton's relationship with Sirius, he will join the new Sirius Sounding Board, sharing
his musical knowledge, spanning a myriad of genres, with Sirius listeners. As a member of the
Sirius Sounding Board, Clinton will provide insights into his work from hip-hop to rock with top
recording artists like Tommy Lee, Macy Gray, Snoop Dog, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dr. Dre,
Prince, Redman and Outkast.
