Madonna's eight nights at London's Wembley Arena came to an end last night-and what a way to end.Not only was the show filmed for TV broadcast and a DVD,but fans from around the world got to sing "Happy Birthday" to Madonna,after which she gave a lengthy speech:

"I couldn't think of a better way to spend my Birthday and to tell you the truth,it's a hell of alot better than the way I spent it last year! If somebody had told me that a year ago when I was in bed with ten broken bones,pumped up with morphine,that I would have such an amazing year,I would say "Yeah,and I'm the Queen of England!".I feel so grateful,blessed and loved.I also want to say to everybody watching the show tonight,I look into the audience tonight and I see flags from all nations,I see people from all walks of life,different skin colors,different languages,different belief systems,different educations,different opinions-we are all so different-and yet we are all here together as one.This is proof that we can do it in the rest of the world.The best Birthday present you can give me is to leave this place tonight with that feeling in your heart-that we are one".
